This STEM lesson about habitats in a rainforest is intended for kindergarten students and is aligned to Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards. The lesson is designed for students to work individually and in groups, with teacher supervision. With teacher guidance, students will watch videos and engage in interactive content. In most cases, teachers will need to read all text to students. (As an added aid, narration is provided on most parts of the lesson.) Students will us an online tool to build a habitat for a rainforest animal. Teachers will need to guide students through the activities. Some work is designed to be done on the computer and some work is designed to be done in the paper-based Rainforest Detective Notebook , which all students should complete as they engage in both group and individual activities.
