This lesson is designed to be completed over the course of a week. The following suggested timeline may be helpful in scheduling the lesson:*

Activities

Day 1
(40 minutes)

Have students explore the Home page, Introduction and the "What is a Rainforest?" activities.

Day 2
(40 minutes)

Have students explore the "Food in the Rainforest" and "Who Lives Here?" activities.

Day 3
(45 min - 1 hour)

Have students explore the "Water for Everyone" and "Needing Each Other" activities.

Day 4
(30 minutes)

Have students explore the "Deforestation" and "Preserving the Rainforest" activities.

Day 5
(1 hour)

Have students explore the "Plan a Rainforest Habitat" and "Goodbye, Rainforest" activities.

*Times may vary depending on duration of class discussions.
